What your parents told u about UNIT TRUST arr?

Hi... I recently read this blog , UNIT TRUST- LOVE IT OR HATE IT (http://www.unit-trust-investment.com/2008/02/4-unit-trust-love-it-or-hate-it.html)

It's just everyone will hear from their friends and family who have bad experience with UT (Unit Trust / Mutual Fund):

1) "Aiya, ah boy / ah girl, dont get cheated by your friend narr.... This thing no play play leii, will lose money1...." bla bla bl

2) " OOOIiiii, ah boy / ah girl, I told u ohrr....I got all the experience with UT, kanasai lar....they say can make money, where got??!!!!.....if not make $$, they say need2 wait >5 years... Ah boy / ah girl arr, this UT company cheat1 larr....dont buy, keep in bank safer" bla bla bla

3) " Ah boy/ ah girl, u dont tell me this kind of thing lar.... I eat rice more than u eat salt arr....Last time i lost money, only last 2 years get back the capital...cannot play larr.."


Do you notice 3 'magic words' these people mentioned?

BUY, PLAY, CHEAT

And most people scare to hear these words. They are EXTREME NEGATIVE words from HUMAN's DICTIONARY (not ah dog's or ah cat's)

So, what is UNIT TRUST?

1) IT'S AN INVESTMENT TOOL

2) YOU INVEST, NOT BUY. YOUR MONEY GROW, NOT MINE

3)IT IS FULLY PROTECTED BY MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT ( those registered with SECURITIES COMMISSION and BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA only)

You will only LOSE your $$ when:

1) You sell it at lower price (than your buying price)

2) THE GOVERNMENT COLLAPSE (no more MALAYSIA)

3) THE END OF THE WORLD (no more EARTH)




So? What do YOU afraid of?
